A Kenyan plane carrying medical supplies could have crashed in Somalia
The
Somali government is investigating Monday's crash of a Kenyan supply plane in
which six people were shot dead amid suspicions.
The
plane, which belonged to African Express Airways, crashed at about 3:30 p.m.
Local time, all six people on board were killed.
Kenya's
Civil Aviation Authority said on Tuesday that the African Express twin-engine
plane was carrying medical supplies for treatment of the corona virus when it
arrived near the western city of Bardale on Monday afternoon. Circumstances that
we have not yet been able to verify. "
The
plane crashed into something, two officials said. An official said it had been
hit by a missile.
